Andreas Eklöf is a Swedish composer who works in the field of contemporary chamber music, electronic music, pop music and music for films. In his work, he is interested in mixing different musical expressions and spatial contexts. He is curious about doing music that plays with the listeners role as a co-creating part in the listening process.
Andreas took a master's degree in composition in 2009 at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and has worked with teachers such as Peter Hansen,
Ole Lützow-Holm, David Felder (University at Buffalo, NY) and Per Mårtensson.
His music has been performed at The Stone (NYC), the ICMA-festival (International Music Association), GAS (Gothenburg Art Sounds), Ny Musik (Borås), Geigerfestival (Gothenburg) and Umeå jazzfestival, among others. He has collaborated with various artists and musicans such as the piano player and composer Mats Persson , Erik Karlsson (violinist and founder of the New York Miniaturist Ensemble), the percussion players Amund Sjølie Sveen and Olof Wendell, and the guitar ensemble The Gothenburg Combo.
